10 years in business… how did that happen?! 😅

In 2016, between moving interstate and trying to keep two tiny humans alive, I was building something I wasn’t even sure would work.

But it did.
And somehow… it kept growing.

Some of my clients have been with me since those early days and are still here. We’ve essentially grown this business together, and I’m so grateful for that. 🫶🏼

Fast forward to now and 2026 has been my biggest year yet.

Your website doesn’t need more pages. It needs better ones.

Here’s what I am seeing already in 2026: the smartest websites are working smarter, not harder. Or really… doing less and converting more.

When I say doing less, I don't mean:
- they’re lacking content.
- they’re cutting corners.

I mean, they’re being intentional. And that is my word of 2026. Intentional.

They have:
- clear structure.
- thoughtful sections.
- pages that actually are there for a reason, instead of “just in case.”

If someone has to think too hard to understand what you do, they bounce.
And you’ve literally got about 3 seconds to catch someone’s attention before they click away and head elsewhere. You probably won’t get a second chance.

A condensed, well-designed website oozes confidence. It feels considered and easy to navigate. It also is beautiful to look at.
An overwhelming, jam-packed site with way too much copy and not enough white space just feels unsure. Hurts my eyes.

And confident always wins.

December always gets me thinking about the little things in business that are worth checking before the new year begins. Not a full overhaul, just a little reset that helps everything run smoother next month.

I like to start with branding. Does it still feel like you? Are the colours, fonts and messages the same across your socials and your website?

Then I look at the website itself. Is it clear? Easy to use? Does it explain what you do in a way that feels welcoming and simple?

I also check my offers and services. Do they still fit the season I’m in? Do they reflect the work I actually enjoy doing?

And finally, I look at the customer experience. How easy is it for someone to book, buy or get in touch? Small adjustments here make a big difference.

Here’s your last-minute checklist:
✅ Most people are shopping from their phones, not their laptops from 2009, so test your site on mobile now.
✅ If your site takes longer than 3 seconds to load, they’re already gone lol. Compress images and remove unused apps.
✅ Make sure your product pages have clear photos, easy add-to-cart, and strong CTA's.
✅ Double-check your codes and scheduling so there's no dramas.
✅ Get your email list ready, probably send your VIPs early access or sneak-peek deals ASAP.
✅ Have a backup plan because technical issues loooove a sale weekend, be prepared.

Black Friday is about discounts yes, but also about the experience. Make it fun and super easy to shop. Good luck! 💅🏼
